Osman Tommy Officially Introduced as New Premier League Board Chairman to Sports Minister and NSA

The newly appointed Chairman of the Premier League Board (PLB), Osman Tommy, popularly known as Van der Sar, has been formally introduced to the Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James-Teima, and the National Sports Authority (NSA).
The ceremony, held on Friday, 26th September 2025, marked the beginning of a new chapter in the administration of Sierra Leone’s top-flight football.
The delegation from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), headed by Vice President I, Alie Badara Tarawallie, presented the new PLB Chairman alongside members of his executive team. As part of the engagement, the SLFA also submitted the official report on the recently concluded Leone Rock Premier League 2024/2025 season to both the Minister of Sports and the Deputy Executive Director of the NSA, Dr. Abdul Rahman Swarray.
Speaking on behalf of SLFA President Babadi Kamara, Vice President Tarawallie emphasized that the Association remains committed to accountability and transparent governance in football administration. He further expressed confidence that the new PLB leadership will consolidate the gains of the previous season while building stronger structures for future growth.
With Osman Tommy at the helm, expectations are high among stakeholders for improved leadership and sustainable development in the management of the Premier League.
His appointment is seen as an opportunity to inject renewed energy into Sierra Leone’s domestic football, which continues to play a vital role in talent development and national unity.
