Petition Urges Koroma’s Return for Mansaray’s Funeral

Adams Bangura, a UK-based member of the All People's Congress (APC), has formally petitioned President Julius Maada Bio to facilitate the return of former President Ernest Bai Koroma to Sierra Leone. 

The appeal follows the death of APC National Chairman, Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, and seeks to allow the former Head of State to participate in the funeral proceedings and pay his final respects. 

Bangura underscored the profound political partnership between the late Chairman and the former President, framing the request as a vital step toward national reconciliation and political healing. 

The petition posits that such a gesture of statesmanship would signal a commitment to peace and unity, both domestically and to the international community, during a period of significant national mourning.
