The Sierra Leone Police have arrested four suspects during a targeted drug raid at Gravel Ground, Lower Sunday Street, in Calabatown, Freetown-East.
The early morning operation, carried out on Wednesday, was led by Superintendent John S. Koroma and involved officers from the Regional and Kissy Operations Teams. The raid followed reports that the area had become a major hideout for Kush and other illegal substances.
During the operation, police discovered suspected Kush and dismantled several makeshift structures believed to have been used as drug dens. The four arrested suspects are currently assisting investigators in tracing the suppliers and wider distribution network.

According to police sources, the raid is part of a broader initiative by the Regional Command to clamp down on drug hotspots across Freetown-East. Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying surveillance and enforcement operations aimed at curbing the spread of harmful drugs and maintaining public order.
