Police Sergeant Dismissed Following Disciplinary Hearing for Drug Possession and Misconduct

Sergeant Musa Sidikie Swarray, PIN 225512, formerly attached to the Mile 91 Division, has been officially dismissed from the police service. This action follows a disciplinary hearing where Sergeant Swarray was found culpable of multiple infractions, prominently featuring the unlawful possession of illegal drugs.

The case, documented as CDIID CR/NOID-169-11-2025, involved formal charges detailing several violations of the Police Discipline Regulations 2001. These breaches included acts contrary to Paragraph 9 Rule 47, improper practice under Paragraph 9 Rule 31(f), failure to comply with standing orders issued by the Inspector General of Police under Paragraph 9 Rule 43, and conduct deemed prejudicial to good order and discipline, also under Paragraph 9 Rule 47.

Following a comprehensive review of the discipline court’s findings, the Director of Professional Standards, AIG Francis Moses Tower, confirmed the verdict of guilt on all counts. Pursuant to the authority granted by Paragraphs 12, 14(1), 19(10), and 19(2)(a) of the Police Discipline Regulations 2001, each finding resulted in the immediate termination of employment from the force.

The Administrative Officer at the Mile 91 Division has been instructed to proceed with the retrieval of all police assets, including the official identification card and badges, from the former Sergeant Swarray. Furthermore, the Head of Human Resources has been officially notified to update the service records to reflect this definitive dismissal.

This concludes the internal disciplinary process. Mr. Swarray is no longer affiliated with the police service.
