PPRC Denies First Lady's Alleged Ownership of HADP

The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has denied allegations linking Sierra Leone’s First Lady to the ownership of the Humble African’s Development Party (HADP).

Eugene Momoh, the Commission's Senior Outreach Officer, dismissed the claims during a recent media appearance at ECKO media, asserting that HADP operates as an independent political entity.

Momoh emphasized that the Commission conducts rigorous vetting procedures for all political parties, confirming that HADP is fully compliant with the country’s legal registration requirements.

Addressing public speculation, Momoh clarified that while the First Lady retains the right to join any political party as a private citizen, she holds no ownership interest in HADP.

The Commission reiterated its commitment to maintaining a neutral and democratic regulatory framework for all political organizations.
