President Julius Maada Bio toured the Dangote Refinery in Lagos, Nigeria, as part of the preparations for the West Africa Integration and Investment Summit (WAIIS), scheduled for November.
President Bio visited the facility ahead of the Private Sector Advisory Board meeting for WAIIS, where discussions focused on investment opportunities and private-sector engagement across West Africa.
During the visit, President Bio met with Nigerian businessman and Dangote Group President Aliko Dangote, who guided him on a tour of the refinery.
Following the tour, President Bio noted that the visit reinforced his commitment to unlocking West Africa’s investment potential.
“I am genuinely excited about unlocking and leveraging the incredible investment potential that West Africa offers,” President Bio stated.
He added that he looks forward to securing concrete investments as preparations continue for the regional summit.
The summit serves as a platform to bring together governments, investors, and private-sector stakeholders to explore opportunities and advance economic integration across the region.
