Sierra Leonean artist Amara Dennis Turay, widely recognized as Kao Denero, has publicly denied allegations regarding the issuance of a bench warrant for his arrest.
These allegations emerged after reports suggested that a warrant was issued due to his failure to appear in court today to address charges of incitement and aggravated assault.
The charges are related to an alleged incident involving an attack on fellow musician Fredrick Dapaye Peters, known as Famous, and his team.
In a direct statement, Kao Denero refuted the circulating reports, asserting that the claim of a bench warrant against him was inaccurate.
He criticized the attempts to validate his illness, the downloading of online images for legal purposes, and the dissemination of false information to bloggers unsympathetic to him, describing these actions as unnecessary and misguided efforts.
His statement directly contradicts official reports indicating that a bench warrant has indeed been issued for his immediate arrest due to his absence from court.
