Referee Mohamed Melvin Tarawally Undergoes FIFA Assessment in Egypt
Sierra Leone FIFA-badged referee Mohamed Melvin Tarawally is currently in Cairo, Egypt, participating in the New FIFA Referees Course, which is being held from September 25 to 30, 2026, as part of FIFA’s referee assessment process.
Tarawally has successfully completed his fitness examination and is continuing with the remaining stages of the assessment as he seeks to maintain his FIFA referee status.
His participation in the course forms part of the assessment process for international match officials and provides an opportunity for him to continue representing Sierra Leone on the international football stage.
Tarawally’s participation has also drawn attention from football stakeholders in Bo and the Southern Region, where he is from, as he represents the region and Sierra Leone at the international course in Egypt.
He is reportedly safe and continuing with the assessment as the course progresses.
Football supporters, fellow referees, colleagues, friends and well-wishers are following his progress as he works towards completing the assessment process.
