President Julius Maada Bio has officially conveyed his deepest condolences following the passing of Hon. Minkailu Mansaray, the National Chairman of the All People’s Congress (APC). Recognizing his long-standing service to the nation, the President honored Mansaray as a distinguished statesman whose efforts significantly shaped Sierra Leone’s democratic progress.
In a formal message issued on behalf of the Government, the people of Sierra Leone, and the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), President Bio expressed his sympathies to the Mansaray family, the APC leadership, and the party membership.
Hon. Mansaray, a senior figure within the APC, had been navigating a period of prolonged illness, which had constrained his capacity to fulfill his duties as National Chairman. He reportedly passed away while receiving medical care at a hospital in Senegal.
In response to the news, an APC delegation—led by the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Hon. Abdul Kargbo—is reportedly preparing to travel to Senegal.
As the nation mourns, political leaders and citizens across the spectrum have begun paying tribute to Hon. Mansaray’s extensive political legacy and his significant contributions to Sierra Leonean national discourse.
