SLFA Boosts Integrity and Safety with Dual Training Sessions

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), through its Technical Department, recently conducted crucial integrity and safety training sessions. On Wednesday, December 17th, the SLFA hosted a Match Manipulation Seminar for referees alongside a Safeguarding Training for its staff.
Acting General Secretary, Mohamed Benson Bawoh, addressed the attendees, underscoring the SLFA's unwavering commitment to integrity and protection within football. He stated that these trainings are vital for preserving the credibility of the sport in Sierra Leone, asserting, "Football thrives on integrity, trust, and safety."
The Match Manipulation Seminar, facilitated by FIFA and CAF Match Commissioner Prince Kai Saquee, focused on educating referees about the gravity of fair play and the severe repercussions of match-fixing, aligning with FIFA and CAF regulations.
Concurrently, Alusine Aiah Kabba, a FIFA-certified Safeguarding Officer, led the training for SLFA staff. This session was designed to enhance awareness and implement best practices for protecting all stakeholders, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and professional environment within the football ecosystem.
VP 2 Price Saquee concluded by reiterating the SLFA's dedication to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and safeguarding through sustained capacity-building initiatives.
