Moses Mambu, the National Publicity Secretary of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), has characterized the recent acknowledgment of President Julius Maada Bio by U.S. President Donald Trump as a clear indicator of the country's progress under the current administration.
During an appearance on AYV, Mambu asserted that this recognition, occurring at the 4th FII PRIORITY Summit, underscores the SLPP's success in elevating Sierra Leone’s stature within the international community. He noted that such high-level diplomatic validation represents a significant milestone for the nation's global standing.
"This constitutes a major achievement for Sierra Leone," Mambu stated, emphasizing that international visibility is instrumental to the country's ongoing development and economic growth.
The remarks were made by President Trump during his closing address in Miami, Florida, on March 27, 2026. Speaking to a distinguished assembly of global leaders and investors, the U.S. President commended the attendees for their dedicated efforts in addressing global challenges.
President Bio was a prominent participant at the summit, which served as a platform for discussing international investment, economic cooperation, and sustainable development strategies.
In his keynote address, President Bio advocated for a more equitable global economic framework, stressing the importance of multilateral collaboration to effectively manage contemporary economic issues.
According to Mambu, these developments further validate the SLPP's policy objectives and reflect the administration's commitment to strengthening Sierra Leone's role in the global arena.
