Star Sport Academy's stellar debut season in the Leone Rock Premier League continues, as the league leaders extended their remarkable unbeaten streak to nine matches following a 1-1 draw against formidable title contenders Bo Rangers FC on Sunday.
The highly anticipated fixture at the SLFA Academy Field was an intense affair, showcasing the tactical discipline of the academy side against the veteran experience of the Rangers. Bo Rangers initially took the lead just before halftime through Mohamadu Lamin.
However, Star Sport Academy, managed by Head Coach Amidu Karim, demonstrated the resilience that has defined their campaign. Shortly after the restart, Alie Ramadan Kabia capitalized on an attacking sequence to net the crucial equalizer.
The result is a significant statement for Star Sport Academy, solidifying their position at the summit of the table with 19 points. By holding a side as strong as Bo Rangers, the "Sky-Blue Academy" proves that their current league standing is a testament to their character and defensive organization, anchored by Captain James Kai-Yamba. They narrowly lead the standings on goal difference.
