U-17 Women's Team Begins World Cup Qualifier Training Camp

The Sierra Leone Under-17 Women’s National Team has formally initiated its training program at the SLFA Academy. These intensive sessions are part of the strategic preparations for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixtures against Ivory Coast, scheduled for next month.


Head Coach Fatmata Turay has convened a 30-player provisional squad to the training camp. The technical staff will utilize this period to evaluate player performance and finalize the roster for the critical two-legged qualifying series.


The inaugural training session was characterized by a high degree of professional discipline and collective focus. The invited athletes demonstrated significant competitive drive and cohesion as they vied for selection in the definitive match-day squad.


This training camp marks the formal commencement of the team’s elite preparation phase. The squad remains committed to achieving a successful qualification campaign and representing Sierra Leone with distinction on the international stage.
