Woman Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing Best Friend Over Boyfriend Dispute

A woman identified as Abie has been apprehended by police in Kono District following an alleged stabbing incident involving her best friend. The altercation reportedly stemmed from a dispute over a boyfriend.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, October 27, 2025, in Taiama, Kori Chiefdom, Moyamba District. Eyewitnesses reported that the confrontation escalated after Abie discovered her former boyfriend, with whom she shares a child, had returned to town and was reportedly involved with her close friend.
Sources indicate that Abie confronted the woman after learning of her ex-boyfriend's presence at a local guesthouse with her. The heated exchange quickly turned violent when Abie allegedly produced a kitchen knife and inflicted multiple stab wounds upon her friend.
Residents described a chaotic scene as bystanders intervened to aid the victim, who was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Police officers from the Taiama Police Station swiftly responded, apprehending the suspect. The case has since been transferred to the Moyamba Police Division for further investigation.
