Zabbar St. Patrick FC, a distinguished club in Malta's premier league, has formally announced the acquisition of Sierra Leonean midfielder Abu Dumbuya for the 2025/2026 season. Dumbuya joins the team following his departure from Finnish club AC Oulu.

The Maltese club, renowned for its rich history and numerous accolades, welcomes Dumbuya, also known as Abu Diaby, who expressed his enthusiasm for this new opportunity. He sought a fresh challenge after his tenure with AC Oulu, where both parties mutually agreed to terminate his contract, allowing him to become a free agent before this transfer.

Abu Bakarr Dumbuya, widely recognized as Abu Diaby, is esteemed as one of Sierra Leone's top holding midfielders, having earned several caps with the national team, the Leone Stars. Diaby consistently delivered strong performances for both the national team and his previous club, AC Oulu, in Finland.

Initially, AC Oulu signed the Sierra Leonean midfielder on a one-year contract for an undisclosed fee, during which Diaby played a pivotal role for the club.

He ultimately chose to terminate his contract to embrace a new challenge for the forthcoming 2025/2026 season.
