Amado-Taylor has won the Sierra Leone Association of Artists and Musicians(SLAAM) award's for Best Book Writer for 2023, in the just concluded award held on 2nd June, 2023 in America. A human resource consultant and a Deaconess, Sophie is an Author of a total of five literary work, mostly a collection of poems. The award was given for her latest work Sweety Pie which is about love, religion, corruption, all themed along her yearning for a just world where humans are bonded by love. She is a member of the Sierra Leone Writer Series and the International African Writers Association and an editor of other people's literary work.

The management of Thy Yung Beatz have issued out a statement warning against a possible impersonation by another producer named Payon. According to the release, Payon has been found to be mimicking the tag line of their Producer, Thy Yung. Issued yesterday 7th June 2023, the statement clarified that upon alerting by their fans, it was discovered that the said “thy Yung beatz" was voiced by a female and reemphasized that their brand was long since incorporated to serve the purpose of improving the Sierra Leone music industry. Striker of FC Kallon Alie Conteh has won the Sierra Leone Association of Artists and Musicians(SLAAM) award's for best sportsman for 2023, just after winning Sierra Leone Premier League's award for Player of the month of May. The award event which was held over the weekend on 2nd June, 2023 in America saw the nominations of top athletes in this category, such as Cricketeer John Bangura and track Star Karin Bangura. Alie had made a historic play by scoring thirteen goals in five matches, to become man of the match in three of those matches. He also made eighty passes and ninety four shots on goal in the very month.

Sierra Leone yesterday 5th June 2023, was elected as a Non-Permanent member of the United Nation's Security Council, an authority which allows member countries to be one of those deciding on the agenda of the council. Sierra Leone becomes one of five countries elected to be there for a two year period, along with nine other non-permanent member countries and five permanent members, making the council a full fifteen nations one. Speaking to press man at the UN, Dr. David Francis described the day as a proud one for Sierra Leoneans who have shown the country as one transformed from war into a potential prospering one, with its opportunities just starting to be harnessed. He furthered that the country's election will bring the two significant attributes of resilience and hope to the the council for other countries with similar histories, to believe that transformation and growth is possible. The award event which was held over the weekend on 2nd June, 2023 in America saw the nominations of top athletes in this category, such as Sprinter Hafsa Kamara and Swimmer Tity Dumbuya and others. Just as in Premier League's award competition, Adama Kargbo who had helped FC Kallon to earn the 6th position on the table, had emerged victorious.

Leone stars Head Coach John Keister on Monday 5th June, 2023 announced his Provisional Squad ahead of the Super Eagles matchday 5 of the Afcon qualifier at the SKD Stadium in Liberia on the 18th of June. Joseph Conteh known as Blazer on his birthday on 27th May 2023 popped the marriage proposal question to his girlfriend of four years Omah Didi, during the celebration of his thirty fourth birthday. Blazer had called her out in front of those present and asked her to marry him and she had said yes, to cheers of party attendees.
