Edwina Jamiru has been released on bail on 15 February 2026, following successful legal intervention by AdvocAid, a leading legal advocacy organization. This release was subsequently confirmed by her sister in response to inquiries made by the Institute for Legal Research and Advocacy for Justice (ILRAJ).


Inspector Kamara of the Cyber Unit verified the release but indicated that further details were restricted pending urgent internal meetings. ILRAJ also sought direct contact with Ms. Jamiru and her family, with her sister confirming AdvocAid's instrumental support in completing the bail process.




The update was publicly disseminated by Basita Michael, an esteemed lawyer and former President of the Sierra Leone Bar Association, who emphasized the critical role of legal advocacy in safeguarding citizen rights and ensuring transparent administration of justice.
