APC Refutes Allegations Regarding Nomination for Foreign ECSL Leadership

Minority Leader, the Honorable Abdul Kargbo, has formally dismissed allegations suggesting that the All People’s Congress (APC) recommended a Ghanaian national to lead the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) during recent mediation efforts.

Hon. Kargbo characterized the statements issued by the Deputy Minister of Information and Civic Education as Factually incorrect, maintaining that no such proposal was submitted by the APC at any point during the proceedings.

"These assertions are entirely without merit. The APC did not, at any stage of the mediation, propose such an appointment," he clarified.

Furthermore, Hon. Kargbo advised the Deputy Minister to consult with the government delegates who were present at the mediation to verify the details before disseminating information to the public.

He further expressed significant concern regarding the dissemination of misinformation.
