Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh has been presented with a Service Award by the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) in recognition of his substantial contributions to the party and national development.

The honour was conferred on December 17, 2025, during the inauguration and fundraising dinner for the new SLPP National Executive Council, an event helmed by Jimmy Batilo Songa. Reflecting on the occasion, Dr. Sengeh underscored its personal significance, noting the presence of family and long-standing political associates.

The Chief Minister spoke of his family's enduring tradition of public service, affirming the SLPP as the sole political party he has dedicated his life to serving. His history with the party spans grassroots mobilization, manifesto development, and critical leadership roles, including chairing the Independent Elections Management Committee for the 2021 National Convention.

In government, Dr. Sengeh has held the posts of Chief Innovation Officer and Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education before his current appointment.

His recognition was accompanied by a tribute from President Julius Maada Bio, the SLPP Leader, to loyal party members. Dr. Sengeh accepted the award by describing his loyalty as being fundamentally shaped by vision, mission, and purpose.
