Jagaban Backs Detained Former Attorney-General JFK Amid Legal Dispute

Mohamed Omodu Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, has publicly declared his support for former Attorney-General Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara (JFK) following JFK's detention during Supreme Court proceedings regarding the Constitution of Sierra Leone (Amendment) Bill 2025.
In a public statement issued via social media, Kamara expressed deep sympathy for JFK and his family, describing the incident as a challenging test for the country's legal and political landscape.
"I stand in solidarity with our brother, former Attorney-General Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara (JFK), during this difficult time," Kamara declared, affirming his unwavering backing for the prominent legal figure.
Emphasizing the necessity of upholding judicial integrity, Jagaban urged all parties to respect the rule of law while remaining optimistic that legal processes will be conducted transparently and equitably.
"While respecting the independence of the judiciary and the rule of law, I remain hopeful that fairness, due process, and justice will prevail," he added.
The detention followed a heated courtroom exchange between JFK and Chief Justice Komba Kamanda, an event that has ignited widespread debate and heightened concerns among legal practitioners and the public alike.
Kamara's intervention joins a growing chorus of statements from political leaders and civic groups advocating for constitutional adherence, due process, and an immediate, peaceful resolution to the crisis.
