President Bio Assures APC of Government Support for Late National Chairman’s Burial

President Julius Maada Bio has assured the All People’s Congress (APC) of government support to ensure a dignified burial for the late APC National Chairman, Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray.

The President made this commitment following a solemn meeting with the APC leadership and the deceased's family members in Freetown.

In a statement shared on social media, President Bio expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the former opposition National Chairman, extending his condolences to both the family and the APC.

He assured the family and party leadership of the government’s full support in organizing a respectful and dignified funeral for the late politician.

The President further offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul and asked for strength and comfort for the bereaved family during this difficult time.

Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray is being remembered by political leaders and supporters across party lines for his significant role in Sierra Leone’s political landscape.

The government’s gesture is widely seen as a sign of respect and political goodwill between the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and the opposition APC during this period of national mourning.
