President Bio Sets 2026 Priorities in High-Level Government Meeting

His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio has held a strategic meeting with ministers and key stakeholders to prioritize government programmes and activities for 2026, following his New Year’s Day address in which he declared the year a “Year of Action.”
The meeting was convened to review national priorities and ensure that ministries and relevant institutions are aligned with the administration’s development agenda. Discussions focused on implementation strategies, inter-ministerial coordination, and the effective execution of planned programmes.
President Bio reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering tangible benefits to citizens across the country, stressing that the “Year of Action” is aimed at moving beyond planning and policy formulation to concrete results that positively impact the daily lives of Sierra Leoneans.
He emphasized the importance of accountability, efficiency, and collaboration among ministers and stakeholders, noting that effective service delivery requires collective responsibility and sustained commitment.
According to the President, the engagement was intended to clarify roles, sharpen institutional focus, and strengthen coordination in the rollout of government initiatives throughout the year.
