Wusu Dadida Jalloh, spokesperson for the Office of the First Lady, has confirmed that members of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) are part of the EBEMA movement.
In a recent media interview, Jalloh explained that the SLPP and EBEMA are not separate groups. He noted that even Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh, who leads the government’s “Radical Inclusion” policy, is part of EBEMA. According to Jalloh, the movement shares the same ideas and beliefs as the SLPP.
“Anyone who is part of the SLPP is also part of EBEMA,” Jalloh said. He described the movement as standing for unity and resilience, and emphasized its goal of keeping the SLPP in power during the 2028 elections.
Jalloh further described EBEMA as “From Paopa to EBEMA,” highlighting the continuity of the party’s direction heading into 2028. Supporters view EBEMA as a spirit of victory and determination, carrying the message “It won’t happen,” in reference to the All People’s Congress (APC) winning the next elections.
At the center of EBEMA is First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, whom Jalloh described as guiding the movement’s vision and commitment to progress, continuing the work of President Julius Maada Bio.
Jalloh concluded that EBEMA represents unity among all who believe in the SLPP’s ideals and its objective of retaining power in 2028.
