Myk Berewa, the Director of Communications within the Office of the President, has formally critiqued the boycott strategy employed by the All People’s Congress (APC), stating that the approach has failed to yield its intended political objectives.

In a statement released via social media, Mr. Berewa suggested that the APC has missed a critical opportunity, arguing that the party’s decision to withdraw from governance processes has proven ineffective in the current political climate.

He noted that he has consistently maintained during various media engagements that political boycotts seldom result in constructive or meaningful outcomes for the parties involved.

“The APC has once again failed to capitalize on its position. As I have stated repeatedly across various media platforms, such boycotts lack the necessary leverage to achieve substantive results,” Berewa remarked.

Furthermore, Mr. Berewa asserted that recent political shifts serve to validate his stance regarding the inherent limitations of boycott-centered politics.

To support his argument, he cited several ongoing political developments, including the continued tenure of ECSL Commissioner Edmond Alpha, as evidence of the strategy's lack of impact.

These observations follow recent high-level dialogues involving opposition leadership and international stakeholders, who have worked to facilitate institutional participation and reduce political friction within the region.
