First Lady Fatima Maada Bio has responded to allegations made by SLPP flagbearer aspirant Hon. Musa Tarawally, who accused her of enabling defamatory attacks against party members through a blogger identified as Samura.
In her response, the First Lady dismissed the allegations, stating that the blogger’s actions were carried out under the direct instructions of Hon. Tarawally himself.
She asserted that everything Samura has done in the country, “whether good or bad,” was executed on Tarawally’s orders, emphasizing that she has no involvement in the blogger’s activities.
Fatima Bio explained that her only connection to Samura is through Tarawally, noting that the blogger operates under his care and guidance. She questioned why her name had been linked to the controversy, describing the allegation as misleading and dishonest.
“If Samura and Musa have had a disagreement, then why use my name? That is the most dishonest thing,” she stated, stressing that Samura’s actions should be attributed solely to Tarawally.
The First Lady further accused Tarawally of allegedly invoking her name to gain sympathy or publicity, and expressed hope that he would publicly clarify the matter and acknowledge the true nature of his relationship with the blogger.
Her comments directly counter Tarawally’s earlier claims that she was involved in facilitating abusive and defamatory attacks within the party, shifting attention to the alleged relationship between Tarawally and the blogger.
